Life gets hard, y’all. As if full-time jobs and raising babies weren’t enough, throw in exercise, relationships, and the ever-important act of extending grace to others.
However, it’s important to remember that this is your story, not anyone else’s.
You are holding the pen and get to decide how each chapter ends. Luckily, you have the power through Jesus Christ to overcome any potholes, speed bumps, or roadblocks that this ol’ world throws at you.
Oh, there are going to be hard times. In fact, some days are going to be downright awful. But the power you hold is in how you decide to handle the ugly. Your power is in your reaction.
So before you face the day unscripted, before you write a line in your story that correction tape can’t even blot out, let me offer you a daily dose of hope. Let me offer you a daily devotional that will help you get out of bed on the right side, even if you didn’t wake up that way.
A ray of sunshine a day may not keep life’s stressors away, but facing daily issues with God’s gifts of faith, hope, and love can empower you to write line after line after line in the best way possible.
This is your story. Make it a good one.
This world gets tough, but that doesn’t mean we have to become jaded. God’s bigger than the ugly, and He’s stronger than our past sins. The story line isn’t changing – He wins. So no matter what happens, no matter the situations you are thrown into, God’s there. You may get flung into the fire, but keep your chin up. Keep praising God in the midst of the fire. No matter how hot it gets, He is standing right beside you. He’s gonna take you by the hand, and y’all will walk out together. Let’s combat life’s stressors with God’s word. Life really is hard, but God is good! Join me, and together we can start each day with a dose of sunshine.
All proceeds from Rays of Sunshine will go into our non-profit, Rays of Sunshine Inc to help purchase items for students in need.
