Stand on God’s Promises

Negativity surrounds us. This world is full of it. How can we as Christians combat the daily gloom and doom that’s trying to suck us into a lifestyle of dismal hope and unbelief in all that’s good?

By remembering the word.

By standing on God’s promises.

By seeing the big picture.

By remembering that God in fact wins.

By believing and professing what we know is true and noble and right and perfect.

Sometimes things are going to happen that just downright stink. Some days are going to be harder than others; however, we can’t let the bad days define the good days. We can’t let the bad things define who we are in God.

I know the end of this story, and it’s good. It’s really good. That what I choose to focus on.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” – Philippians 4:8
