Sometimes we ask God to do things, but we don’t want to have to do anything.

I’ve been guilty of this! I ask God for some help, and He gives it to me in a different way than I hoped for.

You might ask God for courage, and He gives you trials to overcome. You might ask for love, and He gives you people to help. You might ask for strength, and He gives you dangerous things to get through. You might ask for Him to help you, and He gives you the Word of God.

See, we forget sometimes that God is the publisher. He is the master author of our lives, and He knows what you need and He knows what you want!

And He knows what is going to happen to make you realize that what you asked for was here all along!!! You have always had courage. You have always had love. And you have always had God.

Don’t be surprised when you ask God for something and He gives you a different answer than you wanted.

He knows the plan for your life because He is the author of your life. He is the one who knows what you want, but He also knows what you need.

And what is it you really need? Well, all we truly need is God.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declare the Lord. Plans you prosper you, to give you a hope and a future.
