Mommin’ is my cardio.
I saw that on a shirt yesterday. I laughed out loud and thought, “Man, truer words have never been spoken.”
A few months ago I was walking out of Maggie’s allergist’s office, and I saw a young momma putting her baby in her stroller. Y’all know how that goes? Five million bags holding everything you need when traveling with a small child were spilling out everywhere – binkies and bottles and blankets and of course the baby.
I had the sudden urge to scream out, “You go girl!” I’m not even joking. Being a mom is hard. I refrained from going over there because – stranger danger and all that.
But seriously, moms need random high fives. And so do dads, and aunts and uncles, and grandparents, and whoever else is currently playing a fundamental role in raising up our future leaders.
So from toddlers to teenagers – moms, you’ve got this because God’s got this. You’re doing a great job. Even on the days you feel ill-equipped or alone. Even on the days you want to scream or cry – you’re doing amazing. Those babies need you. God chose you.
That’s an amazing compliment in itself.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23
